Apple has just posted a new version of the iPhone OS 4.0 firmware for the iPhone and iPod touch. We’re downloading it as we speak and we’ll keep you informed on any novelties it might be bringing/hiding.

Alright, the most interesting update I can see for now is an extended time limit for app multitasking. In the beta 1, a closed app could ask for 5 extra minutes to complete its task (like the Flickr one in the keynote). Well, now you can ask iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 2 to give you as much as 10 minutes before it freezes the application.

Danas je Apple izbacio iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2 (8A248c) za preuzimanje za modele 3GS, 3G i iPod Toucheve 2. i 3. generacije. Jos uvek se ne znaju promene koje donosi ova verzija. Za sve koji su instalirali 4.0 verziju i jailbreakovali, nemojte skidati ovu jer cete izgubiti jailbreak.

Morate biti registrovani Apple developer a zatim posetiti ovaj link za preuzimanje (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/index.action#prerelease).

Mislim da bez UDID provere ne mozete da uradite Restore sa ovim, nece vam dati iTunes ;)

Evo sam nasao kako bez UDID-a na WIN-u izmijenite ipsw mada instalacija ipak mora preko MAC-a.

1. Download VFDecrypt for Windows (http://www.mediafire.com/?yhzmnytjjnz).

2. Get your 4.0 iPSW (I will not provide download links)

3. Download 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html).

4. Install 7-Zip.

5. Right click on the iPSW file and select 7-Zip and click Open Archive.

6. Make a folder on your desktop called Firmware.

7. Drag the contents of the IPSW in the Open Archive window to the Firmware folder on your desktop.

6. Put the contents of VFDecrypt folder into the Firmware folder.

7. Open Command Prompt (Start Menu then All Programs then Accessories then Command Prompt).

8. CD to the Firmware folder on your desktop (In Command Prompt type: cd <drag Firmware folder into Command Prompt and press enter>).

9. Now type vfdecrypt -i DMGNAME.dmg -o decrypted.dmg -k KEY

Put the name of the DMG file you are trying to decrypt where DMGNAME.dmg is and put your device's key where is says key and press enter.

10. Now download TransMac (http://www.acutesystems.com/tmsetup.exe)

11. Install TransMac.

12. Open decrypted.dmg in TransMac which is in the Firmware folder on your desktop

13. Go to System/Library/CoreServices and open SystemVersion.plist and then at the bottom remove the line

<key>ReleaseType</key>
<string>Beta</string>

14. Save decrypted .dmg after you are done in TransMac.

15. Delete the original DMG file you decrypted but copy the name before you delete it and name decrypted.dmg the name of the one you just deleted.

16. Now go back to the original 4.0 firmware and right click it and then go to 7-Zip and then go to Open Archive.

17. Drag the edited DMG file into the Open Archive window and replace the original one.

18. You need a mac to restore to the IPSW (So what was the point of writing this guide in the first place). You can try it on Windows, but it normally fails.

Ovo ima smisla samo ako ste na 3GS-u MC model i nemate JB. Unlock ne postoji za novi BB koji je u 4.0 FW.

jeli isto restore kao i prijasnjim verzijama shift + restore i onda redsnow
sta se radi sa (UDID-om)

Mislim da Redsn0w 095 radi samo na 3G.

Imam 3g ali me zanima sta treba uraditi sa UDID -om vidio sam negdje da ga treba registrovat?

moras da zamolis nekog developera sa free slotovima [imaju ih po 1oo] da ti da jedan besplatno a naplacuju ih po 10-15 dolara. ili sam treba da kopas po .ipsw fajlu ;)
